BRIAN McKNIGHT, the Grammy-nominated American singer, songwriter, arranger, producer, pop and R&B musician, has been added to the cast supporting music legend, Lionel Richie on the Mother’s Day Show at the Oval next month. [...] Meanwhile Mother’s Day Care Packages, including fine dining Gourmet Platinum and discount dinner vouchers with gold tickets are to be announced. All tickets and packages go on sale next Friday. Blue and Green tickets will be available at Sports and Games outlets while Gold and Platinum tickets can be purchased at the 107.7 FM office, 153 Tragarete Road. The tickets prices are as follows: Blue: $200, Green: $300, Gold: $600, Platinum: $1000.

Celebrities at Richie concert

LOCAL CELEBRITIES and socialites were out in their numbers for Saturday night’s gala Mother’s Day concert at the Queen’s Park Oval featuring international recording stars Lionel Richie and Brian McKnight.

Cricket legend Brian Lara, former Culture Minister Joan Yuille-Williams, Minister in the National Security Ministry Donna Cox and businessman Johnny Soong were among the large number of music lovers on hand for the sold-out show.

Mothers were celebrated throughout Port of Spain and environs on Saturday night as tens of thousands converged upon clubs, restaurants and other venues for special Mother's Day events. The Queen's Park Oval was one of the major attractions of the night as roughly 10,000 people filled the arena to witness American soul artistes Brian McKnight and Lionel Richie in concert. [...] McKnight too enjoyed mass audience adoration when he delivered his set, which was roughly an hour and twenty minutes. He opened with the classic "Used To Be My Girl" and from there had the women at his beck and call with his soulful ballads. His sons, Brian Jnr and Nico joined McKnight on stage adding to the allure of the overall performance. Oui en même temps, la fête des mères c'est pas une fête religieuse alors il y a aucune signification on peut la mettre n'importe où dans le calendrier !

Sinon Niko a changé de coupe, ses cheveux sont plus longs
